Payment Assistance and New Lending Programs

Parkside Credit Union staff and management continue to stay informed and make decisions that protect our employees, members, and the communities we serve during this difficult time.

Payment Assistance & Available Programs

If you are concerned over income loss or if there is uncertainty about when you will return to work, we encourage you to take advantage of the temporary payment assistance programs listed below. For those able, your efforts to meet your financial obligations is imperative and better allows us to support those who need assistance during this time. 

Credit Card Payments

April credit card payments will be automatically waived for eligible members. If you have a Parkside Credit Union credit card, your next payment is due May 28. Visit our website for additional information and eligibility.

Emergency Loan

An Emergency Loan option has been created for our members who have experienced job loss/reduction in pay or sickness as a direct result of the COVID-19 outbreak. Loan amounts are available from $500 - $2,499.99 for up to 12 months, or $2,500 - $5,000 for 24 months. The first payment is not due for up to 90 days from the funding date.
 

Skip-A-Payment Program

Members with an existing loan may qualify for our Skip-A-Payment program. This program allows members to skip a loan payment one time per calendar year. This program is fully automated through Parkside’s online banking. The processing fee has been waived until further notice.
 

Loan Extensions 

Loan Extensions may be utilized during this crisis to temporarily extend your loan payment due date. Apply by completing the Loan Extension form on our website.  

Branch Operations

Stay Home, Stay Safe Order

Financial Institutions, including credit unions, are considered “essential” businesses under this Executive Order. We remain open and are taking every measure to keep our employees safe and healthy while we support the financial needs of our membership. 

Branch Services & Hours

We have limited staff working in our branches to provide drive-up services, as well as to keep our ATMs up and running and to process night deposit box items that require posting. Our branch work areas are being thoroughly cleaned and our staff is practicing social distancing at all times.
 
We will maintain the following drive thru hours at our Livonia and Westland branches:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Wednesday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

*Note that both the Westland and Livonia drive thrus will be open on Saturdays. Parkside’s Dearborn branches will remain closed at this time. 

Account Services

A majority of our staff has transitioned from working in the branches and administrative office to working from home. These staff members are available over the phone to assist you. Parkside offers a variety of convenient account services, including online banking with bill pay, mobile banking with mobile deposit, Xtend shared branching, CO-OP Network ATMs, and telephone banking. Please click here to access information on each of these services.

Keeping You Informed

Parkside will continue to keep our membership updated via email. We advise you to periodically check our website, as “alerts” will be posted as necessary on the home page as well as in the News & Events section. Please note that at this time, it is not possible to include these alerts in our mobile app, so we encourage members who use the app to also check our website.
