What Does the Stay Home, Stay Safe Order Mean for Parkside?

WHAT DOES THE STAY HOME, STAY SAFE ORDER MEAN FOR PARKSIDE?

In an effort to combat the spread of COVID-19, Governor Whitmer issued a Michigan-wide Stay Home, Stay Safe order, effective March 24 at 12:01 a.m. This order prohibits businesses from requiring workers to leave their homes unless they are necessary to conduct minimum basic operations. Financial Institutions, including credit unions, are considered “essential” businesses, and we will remain open and continue to serve our membership. We are taking every measure to keep our employees safe and healthy while we support the financial needs of our membership.

We have limited staff working in our branches to provide drive-up services, to keep our ATMs up and running, and to process night deposit box items that require posting. The safety of our members and employees is of crucial concern, and our branches and work areas are being thoroughly cleaned throughout the day. Staff have been directed to practice social distancing at all times, and to wash and sanitize their hands regularly as they work.

Over 65% of our staff has transitioned from working in the branches and administrative offices to working from home. These dedicated employees are processing payrolls and loan requests, posting payments, ordering debit cards, assisting with setting up online service, and many other vital operations. Please reach out to our team if you have any questions or concerns that we can assist with. You may give us a call at 734.525.0700 or you may submit a question by clicking here.
